AlarmToDo iOS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS version of AlarmToDo distributed through the Apple App Store by H&D Co., Ltd. It explains information that may be processed by the app and its third-party services, the purposes of processing, storage practices, and user choices.

1. App Function Data

1.1 Data Entered or Created by the User

AlarmToDo may process the following data on the user's device:

• Alarm, schedule, today to-do, and tomorrow to-do information
• World clock, holiday, and timer settings
• Alarm repeat days, snooze, and shake-to-dismiss settings
• Alarm sounds selected or recorded by the user
• Alarm sound editing data and reward point history
• Subscription status and app feature settings
• Backup files directly exported or imported by the user

This data is generally stored only on the user's device to provide app features. AlarmToDo does not use account sign-in, cloud synchronization operated by H&D Co., Ltd., or an external data storage server operated by H&D Co., Ltd. The company does not upload or store this data on its own servers.

Audio selected or recorded by the user, alarm, schedule or to-do titles and content, and alarm times are not provided to Google AdMob or Nager.Date.

When the user exports or imports a backup file, the app uses the iOS document picker. The user controls the storage location and sharing of the backup file. H&D Co., Ltd. does not receive or retain the file.

Alarm titles or schedule information may appear in iOS notifications and on the lock screen. The way this information is displayed depends on the user's iOS notification settings.

1.2 iOS Device Permissions and Sensors

AlarmToDo may request the following permissions:

• Notification permission: Used to display alarm, schedule, to-do, world clock, and timer notifications and sounds.
• AlarmKit permission: Used on supported iOS versions to schedule user-created alarms and present alarm experiences on the lock screen.
• Microphone permission: Used only when the user chooses to record an alarm sound. Recordings are stored on the user's device.
• Media library permission: Used only when the user chooses compatible audio from the device for use as an alarm sound.

When shake-to-dismiss is enabled, the app may temporarily process accelerometer readings to detect a shake. Sensor readings are processed only on the device for this feature and are not transmitted to company servers or permanently stored.

Users can change granted permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Refusing a permission may limit features that require that permission.

AlarmToDo does not use photo or video features and does not request access to the photo library. When the user directly selects an MP3 or backup file, the app uses only the iOS document picker.

2. Information That May Be Processed for Advertising and Analytics

AlarmToDo uses Google AdMob to provide advertisements and rewarded ads. Depending on app configuration, user consent, applicable law, and device settings, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and related consent services may process:

• Approximate location inferred from an IP address
• Device identifiers and advertising-related identifiers
• Ad impressions, clicks, views, and other advertising data
• Product interactions such as app, screen, or ad interactions
• Device and app information such as device type and iOS version
• Crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic data

AlarmToDo does not request GPS or precise location permission. Approximate location processed by advertising services may be inferred from network information such as an IP address.

This information may be processed to:

• Provide advertisements and rewarded ads
• Manage ad frequency and verify reward delivery
• Prevent fraud, provide security, and measure advertising
• Analyze service performance and diagnose errors
• Provide ads in accordance with applicable law and user choices

According to the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure, certain device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, and approximate location may be processed in a manner linked to a user or device for advertising or analytics purposes. Actual processing may vary depending on the user's region, consent status, device settings, and advertising configuration.

3. Subscription and Purchase Information

Subscriptions and payments are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. H&D Co., Ltd. does not collect credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other direct payment information.

The app may process product identifiers, transaction status, subscription status, and expiration information provided by Apple on the device to provide subscription features, remove ads, verify subscription status, and restore purchases.

Payment authorization, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform

AlarmToDo uses Google AdMob to provide ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising privacy choices. Where required, UMP may display a consent or privacy choices message and process the resulting choice status.

4.2 Apple In-App Purchase and iOS Services

Subscription purchases, renewals, expirations, cancellations, and restorations are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple's privacy practices also apply to Apple services such as iOS notifications, AlarmKit, the media library, document selection, and device backups.

4.3 Nager.Date Holiday API

AlarmToDo uses the public Nager.Date API to display country-specific holiday information. When holiday information is requested, the requested year and the country code identified from the device's regional settings are transmitted to Nager.Date.

During this communication, the user's IP address and basic network or device technical information may be processed by Nager.Date or its network provider for service delivery, performance, or security purposes.

AlarmToDo does not transmit the user's name, email address, alarm, schedule or to-do content, alarm times, or selected or recorded audio files to Nager.Date. If the API request fails, limited holiday information included in the app may be used as a fallback.

Holiday lookup results may be temporarily stored on the user's device to improve performance and reduce repeated network requests.

5. Advertising Consent, Tracking, and User Choices

AlarmToDo currently does not directly request permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. H&D Co., Ltd. does not independently access IDFA or combine alarm, schedule, or to-do data generated in the app with data from other companies' apps or websites to track users.

However, the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure identifies device identifiers as a data type that may be used for advertising, analytics, and tracking. Whether and how Google processes this information may vary depending on user consent, region, iOS privacy settings, and advertising configuration.

In regions where advertising privacy consent is required, a UMP consent message may be provided. If consent is not given, or where required by law or platform policy, non-personalized or limited ads may be served, or ads may be restricted or unavailable.

Where available, users may review or change advertising privacy choices through the privacy options in the app's settings. Users may also manage app permissions and Apple's advertising personalization settings in iOS Settings.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Alarm, schedule, to-do, world clock, timer, alarm sound, reward point history, and app setting data entered or created by the user is stored on the device to provide app features. Users can delete this data using in-app deletion features or by deleting the app.

Recordings, selected audio, and backup files created by the user may be removed by the user or by deleting the app. A backup file exported outside the app must be deleted separately from the location selected by the user.

Holiday lookup results may be temporarily stored on the user's device to reduce repeated network requests. Deleting the app removes holiday information stored inside the app.

Depending on iOS backup settings, data may remain for a period in device backups managed by Apple, in which case Apple's policies apply.

Information processed by Google, Apple, or Nager.Date is retained and deleted under the applicable service provider's policies. Requests concerning such information may be made using the privacy controls provided by the applicable service provider.

7. Disclosure and International Processing

H&D Co., Ltd. does not sell user personal information. Google, Apple, and Nager.Date may process information as necessary to provide advertising, consent management, subscription, payment, and holiday information features.

These third-party services may process information on servers outside the user's country, subject to their privacy policies and applicable law.

Information may also be disclosed where permitted by law to comply with legal obligations, protect rights, or respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

8. Children's Privacy

AlarmToDo is a general-audience alarm and to-do management app and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes there is an issue involving a child's personal information may contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to app features, third-party services, applicable law, or platform policies. Updated terms and the effective date will be posted on this page.
